How we picked the list

These cities were selected based on how easy they would be to drop in and work remotely for the week. We chose places near cafes and co-working spaces, all with hotels that make it easy to use as a home office.
Along with workability, these destinations all make it easy to log off and connect with your surroundings. Fly in Sunday and take Friday off and you've got a week-long staycation along with a long weekend to fill with an adventure of choice. All with taking just one day off? Now that's PTO-Maxxing.
Seattle

Seattle has some of the best big-city infrastructure for a workcation: with its insanely high density of coffee shops you could find a new spot to work from each day, or stick to one and become a local for the week. For after work, Seattle also boasts more breweries per capita than almost anywhere else in the country. Pairs well with a weekend in a national park: Cascades, Olympic, or Mount Rainier.

Marco island is different from your average Florida beach town. The early to bed early to rise vibe is perfect for a remote work getaway. Its a beach town with a community vibe — golf carts and grocery runs sharing the same streets as oceanfront high-rises and vacation clubs. The Island achieved the Blue Zones Community certification in 2023, part of a regional push toward longer, healthier living through walkability, better food access, and stronger social ties.
